Radon Awareness Week

October 17 – 21st is Radon Awareness Week and Pueblo CARES has teamed up to offer FREE radon testing kits to all Pueblo County Residents.   The radon testing kits are available at all of the Pueblo County Library Branches this week.
All homeowners are encouraged to test their homes for radon gas.  If you have not tested your home during the last two years, it is recommended you test your home again.
Pueblo CARES will be at each Library from 4-5:30 pm on the following days: October 17th, Barkman Branch. October 18, Robert Hoag Rawlings Library, October 19 at the Lamb Branch and October 20th at the Pueblo West Branch.
Radon is a naturally occurring, odorless gas that is listed as a Class “A” carcinogen. It is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the US, and the leading cause of lung cancer deaths among non-smokers.
The only way to determine if what your radon levels are is to test for it. If a high level is detected in your home, you can take measures to lower the levels and protect your family.
For more information, please fill out my contact form, or you can call Pueblo CAREs Radon Hotline at 719-252-6258.
In Colorado, the question is not do I have Radon. The question is how much Radon do I have? I want to help you make your home safe for the ones you work so hard to protect!
